Map Overview

Farm:

 

Items:

  1. Crowbar: Found on the tailgate of the pickup truck in front of the Farmhouse. Used to pull down the ladder in the Windmill.
  2. Drive Tooth (2 of 4): Found on the railing of the Farmhouse porch. Used to fix the windmill drive.

  3. ATV: Found in the shed in the south of the map. The combination lock will need to be opened to gain access to the shed. The combination is obtained in the Silo. The Battery, the ATV key, and the Steering Wheel will need to be obtained and the proper tools to install them as well. See Silo, Garden, and Barn for locations to these items. The ATV is needed to engage in the final puzzle.

 

Tasks:

  1. ​Wolf Evasion Task: On the way to the Windmill for the first time, Madison will encounter a lone wolf when crossing the bridge. This wolf chases Madison and will not stop pursuing so the only recourse Madison has is to run. He must make it to the Windmill before being eaten by the wolf.

  7. 9 of Diamonds: Found on the first turn on the mountain path leading to the Windmill

  8. 4 of Clubs: Found on the ground between rocks by Windmill entrance

  10. Ace of Diamonds: Found on the floor of the shed where ATV is found

  11. 2 of Diamonds: Found on fence railing by waterfall close to the Shack

Barn:

Items:

  1. ​Hammer: Found underneath the 1st-floor workbench in the far corner of the Barn. Used to install the Drive Teeth into the windmill drive and to install the Mast into the Base of the Lift Control.
  2. Generator Key: Found on workbench vice close to the entrance of Barn. Used to switch on the generator in the Windmill

  3. Drive Tooth (3 of 4): Found on 1st floor near on ground near orange barrels covered with a tarp.

  4. Steering Wheel: Found on loft on the ground near hay bails in the far corner. Used to repair ATV in the shed

  5. Up Button: Found on loft access door on the left-hand side

 

Documents:

  1. ​Windmill Drive Picture: A photo of a repaired windmill drive. Found on 1st-floor support

beam by crates.

 

Puzzles:

  1. ​Workbench puzzle: When completed, Madison gets the completed Lift Control. This item is needed to access the bottom floor of the Silo.

 

Playing Cards:

  1. ​8 of Clubs: Found on the ladder in the loft
  2. Queen of Clubs: Found in cow feed trough on 1st floor

  3. King of Spades: Found on loft access door on the right-hand side

  4. 10 of Diamonds: Found on 1st inside the wheelbarrow

  5. 5 of Clubs: Found inside top crate close to the center of the room on 1st floor

 

Shack:

Items:

  1. ​Phone: Found on the nightstand in the Shack. This is used throughout the game. See more on the Phone below.
  2. Flashlight: Found on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf by the front door

  3. Drive tooth (1 of 4): Found on floor in the office

 

Puzzles:

  1. ​TV puzzle: Once solved, the TV will show the answer to the Animal Statue Puzzle in the Farmhouse. The Remote Control is needed to turn the TV on (see Silo). The proper channel is circled in red on the newspaper outside the Shack. This number will be different for each game played.

 

Playing Cards:

  1. ​Jack of Clubs: Found on a bookshelf in the office.
  2. 2 of Clubs: Found on top of the wood-burning stove

  3. Ace of Spades: Found at the end of the game on the floor in the doorway between the bedroom and living room

 

Farmhouse:

Items:

  1. ​Color List- Found in boys bedroom on dresser. Used to decipher the safe combination.
  2. Number Blocks(5): The 5 blocks can be found in one of any 10 places in the Farmhouse. The numbers are randomly chosen for each game so there is no definitive answer on which exact blocks these numbers will be. Below is where the blocks will be located if they are chosen to be used in the answer.

    1: Underneath hallway dresser on 1st floor close to stairs

    2: On the floor in the office close to the radiator

    3: On the floor near the toilet in bathroom 2nd floor

    4: On dresser on 1st floor down the east hallway

    5: Underneath left-hand wine closet on 1st floor in dining room

    6: On the coffee table in the 1st-floor living room

    7: Underneath stool in back door vestibule

    8: On the dresser in the girl's bedroom on the 1st floor

    9- On the coffee table in the family room on the 2nd floor

  3. Animal Statues(5): There are 5 animal statues located in the Farmhouse. They are used to answer the Animal Statue Puzzle.

    Buck: Found on the dresser by bathroom door 2nd floor

    Pig: Found on a chair in office 1st floor

    Doe: Found on the floor between dressers in master bedroom 1st floor

    Wolf: Found on the top shelf of in corner of living room 1st floor

    Fox: Found inside the Safe

  4. Lift Control Body: Found on the bottom shelf of DVD rack in family room 2nd floor. Used in part to build the lift control.

  5. Garden Back door key: Found on north side balcony accessed from Attic. Used to open the back door of the Garden

  6. Lift Control Base: Found in Attic on top of the dresser. Used in part to build the lift control.

 

Documents (Storyline):

  1. ​Doc 1: Found on the dresser in the master bedroom
  2. Doc 2: Found on a stool in the attic (This doc must be picked up to advance the game)

  3. Doc 3: Found on the dresser in the master bedroom

 

Puzzles:

  1. ​Door Puzzle: Upon the banister of the staircase leading to the upstairs of the Farmhouse there is a figurine of a bird that can be rotated in 4 different directions. Each time it is rotated, the doors in the Farmhouse will be affected. Some will close (if already open) and lock and others will unlock. The only way to gain access to new rooms in the Farmhouse is to set the rotation of the bird to the proper orientation. See the walkthrough for more details.
  2. Animal Statue Puzzle: On the 2nd floor, at the end of the hallway, there are 5 empty shelves on the wall. These shelves must be filled with the animal figurines found throughout the Farmhouse. Once all the proper animal statues are placed on the correct shelves, walk back down the hallway and the Attic door will open. In order to interact with this puzzle, Madison must first solve the Shack TV puzzle. See Shack level documentation.

  3. Safe Combo Puzzle: Upstairs in the room closest to the staircase, there is a safe that can be opened once Madison learns the combination. In order to figure out the combination, Madison must do two things (but in no particular order). He must find the Color List item and all of the Number Blocks need to be located. Once all of these items are located, the combination to the safe can be deciphered. Opening the safe will give Madison the Fox statue.

Seals:

  1. ​Seal 1: Found in boy's bedroom in a dresser drawer
  2. Seal 2: Found in girl's bedroom on vanity

  3. Seal 3 and 4: Found in the master bedroom on each side of the headboard

 

Windmill:

Items:

  1. ​Needle Nose Pliers: Found on the workbench on the left side of the bottom floor of the Windmill. Used to operate Windmill Brake and install the Lift Control to the lift.
  2. Drive tooth (4 of 4): Found on the floor of Windmill near the generator.

  3. Farm Map: Found on the box near tarp-covered crates. Gives a good view of the Farm and enables fast travel. See the phone for more info.

  4. Lift Control Mast: Found on Windmill drive floor. Used in part to build the lift control.

 

Documents:

  1. ​Windmill Repair Doc: Found on the front of the generator. It contains explicit instructions on how to fix the windmill drive.
  2. Generator Reset Procedure Doc: Found on the back of the generator. It contains explicit instructions on how to reset the generator.

 

Tasks:

  1. ​Windmill Drive Repair: To repair the windmill drive, Madison will need all 4 drive teeth, the hammer, the needle nose pliers, and the crowbar. The crowbar is used to pull the ladder down, the pliers are used to replace the broken brake handle, and the hammer is used to install the drive teeth.
  2. Generator Reset: Once the Windmill Drive is repaired, Madison can now reset the generator. Using the Generator Reset Procedure Doc and the generator key found in the barn, the generator can be reset. Once this is complete, power will be restored to the Farm.

     

Playing Cards:

  1. ​3 of Spades: Found on the loft of Windmill.
  2. 4 of Diamonds: Found in the box on the floor of Windmill

  3. 6 of Hearts: Found on the workbench with fluorescent lights

  4. 9 of Clubs: Found on a crate behind the generator

  5. Jack of Spades: Found on a shelf on the floor

 

Garden:

Items:

  1. ​Gray Rock: Found on the ground to the left of the Bird fountain in the southwest corner of the map. Used to complete Locked Room Task.
  2. Garden Map: Found on the wall in the northeast part of the map. Used to help navigate the Garden

  3. Blue Rock: Found on the ground in South East area of the map. Used to open blue-accented doors in Colored Doors Task.

  4. Vice Grips pliers: Found on Wolf fountain in the northwest of the map. Used in part to install the Lift Control.

  5. Channel Lock pliers: Found on the bridge railing. Used to install Down Button to build the Lift Control.

  6. ATV key: Found on Buck Fountain in the south part of the map. Used to start the ATV.

  7. Garden Front Door Key: Found behind Big Tree in center of the map. Use to open the front door of the Garden.

 

Documents:

  1. ​Newspaper 2: Found after solving the Bench Puzzle

 

Puzzles:

  1. ​Garden Maze: The Garden is a giant maze with 4 roaming wolves. The ultimate goal is to find the Garden Front Door Key. Once the key is found, Madison no longer needs to enter through the back door of the Garden.
  2. Bench Puzzle: The Bench puzzle is the final puzzle of the game. In order to answer it, Madison must place each body found in the game on their respective benches corresponding with their seal. Answering this puzzle correctly will give Madison the Newspaper 2. Answering it incorrectly results in a direct wolf attack.

 

Playing Cards:

  1. ​King of Clubs: Found on the bench by the south side of the bridge
  2. Queen of Spades: Found on the ground near the tree in the southwest corner of the map.

  3. 2 of Spades: Found on Bird fountain, west side of Garden

  4. 8 of Diamonds: Found at the end of a long corridor that begins to the left of Pig fountain in North of the map.

  5. King of Hearts: Found on a rusty picnic table near Noble sign by bridge underpass

  6. 2 of Hearts: Found on a bridge railing post

  7. 8 of Hearts: Found on Pig Fountain in North of map

  8. 8 of Spades: Found by the big tree in the center of the map

  9. Queen of Diamonds: Found on the ground between 2 trees near the front door

 

Silo:

Items:

  1. ​TV Remote: Found on the sink in the bathroom. Used to control TVs in the Silo and the Shack.
  2. ATV Battery: Found on the ground on the top floor. Used to power the ATV.

  3. Down Button: Found on the dresser in the boy's room. Used in part to build the Lift Control.

  4. Flathead Screwdriver: Found on the floor near the bed in the master bedroom. Used in part to build the Lift Control

 

Documents:

  1. ​Lift Repair Document: Found on the wall near broken lift. Explains in detail how to build and install the Lift Control.
  2. Safe Document: Found in the boy's room on the desk. Explains how to learn the combination to the safe in the Farmhouse. The desk lamp must be on prior to viewing.

  3. Letter from Boy to Girl: Found in girls room on the desk. Gives clues about Door Puzzle in Farmhouse. The desk lamp must be on prior to viewing.

 

Puzzles/Tasks:

  1. ​Dresser Drawer Candle Puzzle: In the 3rd-floor hallway there is a dresser with 6 candles on it and the word skak (the Dutch word for chess) written in the bottom right-hand corner. In order to solve this puzzle, Madison must first find the Chessboard. The Chessboard can be found in one of 3 random places, on the dresser in the master bedroom, on the end table in the living room, or on top of the boxes on the top floor close to the cement bags. Once the Chessboard is found, Madison must take note of how the clear chess pawns are positioned and then slide the candles on the Dresser Drawer Candle Puzzle into the corresponding positions. Once the chessboard is found and the candles are positioned correctly, Madison will be rewarded with the Farmhouse backdoor key.
  2. Install Lift Control Task: In order for Madison to reach the bottom floor of the Silo, first, the Lift Control needs to be built and obtained. Also, Madison needs the Vice Grips and Needle Nose pliers in order to install it.

  1. ​7 of Spades: Found in the kitchen on the counter.
  2. 10 of Clubs: Found on the tarp-covered crates on the top floor

  3. 10 of Spades: Found on the utility shelf on the top floor.

  4. 5 of Diamonds: Found on the coffee table in living room

  5. 9 of Hearts: Found on the back of the toilet in the bathroom

  6. 4 of Hearts: Found on the desk in the girl's room.

  7. 3 of Hearts: Found on the utility shelf in the basement

  8. 7 of Diamonds: Found on the stool in the boy's room

  9. Ace of Hearts: Found on the nightstand in the master bedroom

 

Seals:

  1. ​Seal 1: Found in boy's bedroom on the bunk bed.
  2. Seal 2: Found in girl's bedroom on the bunk bed

  3. Seal 3 and 4- Found in the master bedroom on each side of the headboard

 

Orbital Anarchy:

This is purely a side game found in the phone that has no impact on the core game. It can only be played after Madison finds at least 40 playing cards. The game can be played in all areas at almost any time. It has no impact on the battery life or game time played.

 

Wolves:

The wolves are found in the Farm and the Garden levels. Once a wolf detects Madison, it will pursue. Madison cannot fight back and will die instantly if caught. His only recourse is to run like hell.

 

Phone:

Madison will rely heavily on the phone the entire game. The phone battery will drain slowly any time it is being used (except for when playing Orbital Anarchy) and is displayed in the battery icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. If the battery drains completely, the phone will shut off and control will return to the game. However, the phone will always slowly recharge when not in use. If the phone does die, Madison must wait for it to recharge. Below is a list of all of the phone's features and how they are useful in the game.

 

  1. ​Inventory: This is where the items that Madison has found around the Farm are stored. To get a closer look at the item and to learn a small bit of info about it, click on the corresponding icon.
  2. Playing Cards: Click on this icon to view the cards that Madison has found

  3. Orbital Anarchy: Side game that can be played after Madison finds 40 Playing Cards

  4. Messages: Clicking on this icon views the messages sent by the killer

  5. Documents: Clicking on this icon displays useful documents that Madison has found throughout the game.

  6. Maps: Clicking on this icon brings Madison to the Maps screen. This is where Fast Travel is performed via the Farm map. If Madison has already visited an area, he can fast travel to it when in the farm, having at least 25% of phone battery life left, and not being chased by a wolf.

  7. Settings: This is where all of the in-game settings are adjusted. Controller options, button mappings, screen size, brightness and resolution, audio settings, and gameplay settings are all adjustable on this screen.
